The S.S. J. O'Brien, known as "The Lucky O'Brien" is one of two fully-restored operating survivors of 2,710 World War II Liberty Ships. It is the only ship that participated in the Normandy invasions that returned fifty years later to take part in the 50th anniversary of D-Day.
